Bhakti concentrates her practice to writing, appeals, research, and evidence coordination for trial and appellate cases in federal and state court. She provides in-depth analysis of case and statutory law, creating and writing arguments to be used in hearings and trials. Bhakti seeks to provide a thorough legal and factual background of the evidence and issues for use in court. She has written appellate briefs and post-conviction motions for reducing sentences, white collar crime, DUI, money laundering, fraud, and family law issues.
She has additionally conducted research and writing for medical malpractice, personal injury, domestic violence, murder, and misdemeanor and felony crimes, and family law issues.
A University of Miami School of Law graduate, Bhakti received the Book award for the highest grade in her Research and Writing for Lawyers course. She served as a research assistant to a law professor and leading authority in Alcoholic Beverage and Food law during all three years of law school. Bhakti was also a judicial intern for the Honorable Don Cohn, an experience which allowed her to observe from the bench numerous hearings and trials between insurance defense and plaintiffs’ attorneys for foreclosure and small claims cases.
